Same. I've watched maybe one reviewer but I soon realized (they were white) they don't have the experience necessary to engage with films that are not white centric. So we won't see eye to eye. I prefer reviews from people who have a similar life experience to mine. Even when they learn it in school, few are able to engage with a film in any meaningful way.
And also agreed, if the sound moves me enough to notice, I will mention the effects but the average movie watcher does not think about all the movies that came before or the shots/camera used and, if this is meant to get people to see it, I'm not sure how it helps. Thanks!
