Sadly what he’s doing is the equivalent of claiming racism isn’t rampant because there was a Black president and Oprah Winfrey is a billionaire. They rose in spite of racism and for every successful Black person or POC you can name a slew of white people. The majority of films, film companies, producers and casts are mostly white are all white. That is changing but it is a slow process. And pointing out I’m angry does not detract from the truth of my statements. There is justified anger and rage among those who have been consistently held down. Unjustified anger is claiming that one role not given to a white person is somehow indicative of an attack on white ppl rather than an attempt to level a historically uneven playing field.
