Prejudice is judging someone based on someone’s appearance, Race, ethnicity etc. It means to pre-judge i.e. judge beforehand. Discrimination is based on prejudices oftentimes. Racist is someone who commits racist acts, but as I said because it is ingrained in society and encompasses prejudices not every racist comment is the act of a racist. When they refuse to acknowledge their unconscious biases and continue sinking deeper then they are racist. And no I have purposely avoided purchasing that book because I make a choice to support fellow Woman of Color who are writing on this topic.
