My version isn’t new. A lot of people like Ijeoma Oluo are changing the way it’s defined but the current definition implies white people can experience racism when they can’t because of the power factor. You can help get the word out by sharing books and pieces written by BIPOC authors. 😉 There’s nothing wrong with asking a person what they define racism as and then explaining or challenging it. When having a discussion there’s need to be a clear understanding between parties on how a word is defined and used in a discussion.
