I follow her on Twitter and she saw me tweet about a recent experience where a white man purposely swerved into my path then shot me a dirty look when I didn’t move and she replied and linked that piece. I told her I was working on something similar and asked to include her. It’s amazing how many of us don’t realize we do it. Even now, if I’m not focused on it I will move out of white people’s way and not realize I did it till after. It’s so embedded so I try to stay conscious of this when I’m outside. It’s educational for both of us in the long run.
