I didn’t bother reading the entirety of what you wrote for several reasons. First, to trot out on Medium we can exchange different views automatically made this post a problem for me. It’s the equivalent of the “I don’t mean to sound racist but-” or “I don’t mean to sound insensitive but-”. Two, every time white people want to claim they experience racism they trot out history of African tribes sold neighbors and the holocaust, etc. White colonial racism was on ANOTHER level. And Africans didn’t sell Africans because they were Black, neither did Nazis target the Jewish community because they were white. And no, white people cannot and have not experienced racism. They can experience prejudice and discrimination as we all can but not racism. In the future if there is a nation that takes over entire countries with a white people are inferior rhetoric and conditions those countries to see lighter skin as bad, enslaves white people them and creates a system to keep them marginalized for generations as well as creating a society and school system that downplays these atrocities then we’ll talk. Till that time, you’re wrong. Period.
